Short version: use WavePilot for your own studying, upload things you are allowed to upload, and understand that the team is helpful but not infallible.

The service

WavePilot turns class materials you upload into study guides, practice exams and answers, in rooms you share with people you invite. It is free for Tulane students while we build it, and it may change, pause or end as we learn.

Your materials

Upload only material you have the right to use for studying — your own notes, and course material your instructor has made available to you. Do not upload other people’s private information.

You keep whatever rights you have in what you upload. You give us permission to store it and process it so the room can work.

What the team produces

Study guides, practice exams and answers are generated from your files by an AI model. They cite their sources so you can check them, and you should — they can be wrong, incomplete, or miss what your instructor cares about. They are a study aid, not a substitute for the course.

Use them in line with your school’s academic integrity rules. Getting a practice exam from your own notes is studying; submitting generated work as your own is not.

Rooms and limits

Anyone with a room’s invite link can join it once they sign in, so share links with the people you mean to. Rooms have daily limits on how much the team will generate; the room tells you when you reach one.

Rooms become read-only a week after their exam.

The usual

WavePilot is provided as is. We do our best to keep it up and keep your data safe, and we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what you do with what the team produces.

We may update these terms; if the change matters, we will say so on the site.
